The Suno API on PoYo generates complete songs with vocals, lyrics, and instrumentation from a text prompt, your own lyrics, or reference images, video, and audio. Full Songs from Your Own Lyrics
Writing a full song should not mean losing control of the words. In custom mode, send a title, a style, and up to 5,000 characters of lyrics, and Suno sings them as the main vocal line. Lyrics take priority over the prompt, so the output follows your text.

What is Suno API?
Suno is a family of AI music models that generate complete songs with vocals, lyrics, and instrumentation from text, lyrics, or reference media. On PoYo, the Suno API gives you REST access to Suno V4, V4.5, V5, V5.5, and V6 models, plus extend, cover, mashup, and stem endpoints. PoYo is an independent API platform and is not affiliated with Suno.
Does Suno have an official API?
Suno has introduced Suno Platform, its own developer API, starting with a curated group of partners. If you want to start without a partner application, PoYo offers self-serve access to Suno music generation with a standard API key, documented parameters, and usage-based credits.
How do I get a Suno API key?
Create a PoYo account and generate an API key in the dashboard, then send it as a Bearer token with each request. This is a PoYo API key, so you do not need a Suno account or Suno subscription to call the endpoints.
Which Suno versions can I use?
Set mv to V4, V4_5, V4_5ALL, V4_5PLUS, V5, V5_5, V6, V6_MINI, or V6_WILD. V6 is the flagship for polished results, V6 Mini is faster for drafts, and V6 Wild produces less predictable arrangements. All versions share the same request format, so you can switch by changing one field.
How much does the Suno API cost on PoYo?
Each generate-music request costs 20 credits ($0.10) for every model version and returns two tracks. Other Suno endpoints, such as extend, cover, or stem split, have their own rates in the pricing table. There is no subscription; credits are deducted per request.
Can I use my own lyrics?
Yes. Set custom_mode to true, add a title, and send up to 5,000 characters in the lyrics field. Lyrics take priority over the prompt. Set instrumental to true when you want music without vocals.
Can I control how long the song is?
With V5.5 or any V6 model in custom mode, set duration from 10 to 360 seconds. For longer pieces, continue a track with the Extend Music endpoint from a chosen timestamp.
Can I use images, video, or audio as references?
Yes, in non-custom mode. Add up to 5 image URLs, 1 video URL, and audio URLs. Style, lyrics, and reference files together are limited to 10 items per request.
How do I receive the generated songs?
The submit call returns a task_id. Poll the status endpoint or set a callback_url. Finished tasks include two files with audio_url, cover image_url, and audio_id, which you can pass to extend, cover, or stem endpoints.
